Liu Gao Feng, born in Anhui, China in 1964, graduated from the Anhui College for Professional Training in 1987. Afterwards he pursued advanced studies at the China Art Academy and now teaches at the Anhui Art and Crafts School. In 1992, his painting series Qinghai and Tibet Plateau were exhibited at Hong Kong’s “The Oil Painting Exhibition of Chinese Folk Custom”. In 1993, Gao Feng took part in an oil paintings exhibition sponsored by the China Art Gallery which toured Southeast Asia and South Korea.

With his painting, Gao Feng effectively transmits the peaceful spiritual world of his inner feelings. His precise execution of realist painting follows influences from the traditional style of seventeenth century Dutch still life painting.
