COSTAS PICADAS | counterpoint

Odon Wagner Gallery is pleased to present the first solo exhibition of contemporary artist, Costas Picadas. In this series the Greek born photographer explores science, philosophy, light and energy.Working primarily in black and white, Picadas creates highly stylized and even abstracted compositions using both natural and urban spaces as his subject matter. His ethereal images capture a dynamic world as different elements of his landscape are highlighted or subdued.

Picadas was born in Ioannina Greece and studied art at the Ecole Des Beaux-Arts, Paris, learning the mechanics of photography alongside Sarah Bernhard. Since 1994, the photographer has been living and working in New York City.
