Born in Yingkou of the Liaoning Province in 1962, Mei Dong Sheng has participated in several provincial and national exhibitions, including the 70th Anniversary celebration of Chinese Painters of China in 1991, the Contemporary North-Eastern Chinese Oil Painting Exhibition in Taiwan in 1992, and the 2nd Chinese Oil Painting Exhibition in 1994. At the 8th National Art Exhibition in 1994, Dongsheng’s painting “Flash of Sunset” was purchased for the permanent collection of the Provincial Art Museum. He has also participated in the Chinese North-East Oil Painting Exhibition in Malaysia in 1995 and 1996, where Dongsheng’s painting “Return and Sons of the Desert” was purchased for Museum Collections.

Mei Dongsheng has been represented by the Odon Wagner Gallery since 1997 and his work was included in the group exhibition Out of China, December 1998 and in 2010.
